A brief history
From 1991 to 2009, CORGI (Council for Registered Gas Installers) was the mandatory registration body for gas engineers. In 2009, the Health and Safety Executive awarded the contract to Gas Safe Register. All engineers who were CORGI-registered had to re-register with Gas Safe.
